New Jersey Community Capital began as an experiment in community-building and anti-poverty efforts. We started with $125,000 and two questions: Could communities without access to conventional finance organize their own financial resources for community development? And would these resources make a difference?
Over the past three decades, we have removed barriers for accessing capital to help create healthier, more sustainable communities. As we move forward, the goal of our successful experiment remains the same — to help ensure communities are given the necessary resources and tools to grow and evolve while bridging the gap between inequity and opportunity in every community we serve.
NJCC's work creates opportunity and safe and healthy spaces for the communities we serve.
