Jason Rowe
Managing Director, Community Strategies
Jason Rowe joined New Jersey Community Capital in June 2018 as Senior Community Strategies Consultant. He partners with community organizations and local governments to develop strategies and build capacity to drive transformative community change and equitable growth. His work has a particular focus on community-driven neighborhood planning and community organizing. Jason previously served as director of the Unity Square community development initiative in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Under his leadership, Unity Square developed a robust community-organizing program, successfully enacted innovative local public policies, and was one of the state’s most successful participants in the Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit program. Jason has also worked for the labor-rights organization New Labor and the New Jersey Laborers’ Union.
He earned a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and History from New York University. He is fluent in Spanish.
