Johvanna Sampson

Managing Director, Lending

Johvanna Sampson joined NJCC in June 2024 as Managing Director of Lending Programs. Ms. Sampson is responsible for new business generation, product development, and market expansion. Ms. Sampson sets the lending strategic vision, priorities and budget, and manages NJCC’s lending activity through the entire loan life cycle.

Ms. Sampson brings over two decades of community development and lending experience where she has focused on assembling capital for community health centers, affordable housing developments, charter schools and community facilities nationally. Prior to NJCC, Ms. Sampson was the Vice President of Commercial Lending at BlueHub Capital where she was responsible for business development, loan structuring, and underwriting. She also served as a Senior Loan Officer at Primary Care Development Corporation, where she was responsible for business development, market expansion and managed the New Markets Tax Credit program.

Ms. Sampson holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Louisiana State University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern University, and a professional certification in Homeownership and Community Lending from NeighborWorks America.
