Ryan Johnson Joins as New Managing Director of Real Estate

New Jersey Community Capital is pleased to welcome Ryan Johnson as its new Managing Director of Real Estate. Ryan brings nearly 15 years of expertise in real estate including the management, financing and sale of properties. In this inaugural role, Ryan will oversee the acquisition, rehabilitation, sale and rental of real estate holdings across all the lines of business of Community Asset Preservation Corporation (CAPC) in New Jersey and Florida.

Ryan will work closely with the CAPC team and vital community partners to direct capital attraction for the bulk purchases of Real Estate Owned (REO) and multi-unit properties as well as oversee CAPC’s social enterprise lines of business. Ryan will enhance current and form new partnerships with community organizations and local government using CAPC’s growing capacity.

Prior to joining NJCC, Ryan served as a Portfolio Manager at Madison International Realty, a global private equity real estate firm, where he oversaw all aspects of a 2.5 million square-foot retail portfolio, including: investor relations, capital markets and the development and implementation of leasing and property management strategies. He also served as a founding staff member and Senior Financial Analyst at Brick City Development under the Cory Booker Mayoral Administration, where he managed commercial real estate and small business transactions for the City of Newark.

Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce, with a Concentration in Finance and a Minor in Business Management from the University of Virginia.
